Description

Art aficionados take your best swing at this vintage ceramic baseball sculpture. Standing 16" tall on an 8-3/4 x 5-1/2" base, this bronze colored statue depicts a batter wearing number "15" on his back, in the follow through stage of his swing. Fine attention to detail has resulted in a captivating piece. Judging by his contorted corkscrew stance, the left-handed hitter must have taken a mighty cut, as he appears to be in the process of screwing himself into the ground. This handsome piece presents in better condition, with just a few minor chips and scratches on the helmet, elbows and base. Engraved on the rear long side of the base is "Austin Prod Inc © 72" and the studio COA is affixed to the underside.
